Flights & Accommodation
Named UNESCO City of Gastronomy and Italy’s 2020 Capital of Culture, Parma is a hidden gem located in the beautiful valleys of the Emilia Romagna region. It is a small yet lively town, full of enchanting historical and architectural sites such as the famous Cathedral, Baptistery and Farnese Theatre.
During our event, as well as enjoying the Capoeira, we hope you’ll be able to relax, stroll around its cobbled streets and appreciate all the beauty that the city has to offer.

The best airport for Parma is Bologna (Ryanair and BA) with good train connections (the journey takes an hour and train tickets are around €7.5 each way). Milano Linate (Easyjet and BA) is also ok as an airport although not as close.

You can find information about train times and fares by looking at Trenitalia's website

Parma is busy in May when many food and arts exhibitions take place, so hotels can fill up and prices can spike up quickly. There are two hotels that we recommend and with whom we have negotiated some good rates specifically for the three key nights of the event (10th, 11th and 12th May). In both cases, we encourage you to share a room with another person from the group, as this will lower the price of the room per person substantially.
NH Hotel - Modern, slick and comfortable, this is directly next to Parma’s train station (therefore excellent for airport transfers) and a short walk from the workshop venue on the Friday night. It will also be our reference point for pick-ups.

Price per person/night (sharing a twin room) - € 64 (includes breakfast and city tax)[1]
If you are interested in staying here, please contact Laura Annicchiarico (l.annicchiarico@nh-hotels.com) quoting the reference “LSC CAPOEIRA HERANÇA ITALIA BATIZADO 2019”. Please note that the package is available until the 21st February.
[1] Please note that that NH Hotel require you to pay the balance for your stay in advance and the rate is non-fundable
Hotel Button – More classic and quaint, excellent location, in the heart of town, close to the main square and restaurants and bars of the city centre.

Price per person/night (sharing a twin room) - €40 (includes breakfast and city tax)[1]
If you are interested in staying here, please contact Giorgia Cortesi (info@hotelbutton.it) quoting the reference “LSC CAPOEIRA HERANÇA ITALIA BATIZADO 2019”. Please note that the package is available until the 28th February.

[1] Please note that Hotel Button will ask for a 30% non-refundable deposit upon reserving the room

If neither of these options suit, you are more than welcome to arrange your own accommodation but bear in mind that the NH Hotel will be where we meet up to go to workshops and meals together.
Once you have booked your flights and accommodation, please let us know details of your arrival/departure dates and times by filling in this form
Food in Parma
In terms of meals, the plan is to have dinner all together on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night after the Batizado. We have negotiated some good deals in some of the nicest pizzerias and restaurants in town. All meals will be €20 payable directly on the day at the restaurant. This is what will be included in the price:

Pizzeria Sció (Friday night) – Pizza, dessert and a soft drink. This is a modern pizzeria making authentic napolitan pizza at very reasonable prices.

Da Mat Bistrot (Saturday night)– Traditional starters - Torta fritta (traditional fried dough parcels) with Parma ham and other salumi (cold cuts), Tortelli di erbetta (traditional homemade fresh pasta with spinach and ricotta), water (soft drinks and wine available but not included in the price)

Enoteca Ombre Rosse (Sunday night)– A light buffet of starters (Italian tapas, bruschetta, polenta), Salumi (Parma ham and other cold cuts), pasta dish (vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available), water and 1 glass of wine included in the price.
We hope this is enough information for the moment and we will be in touch in due course with more details.

In the meantime, do contact us if you have any questions or doubts (info@capoeiraheranca.it/ Instrutora Caterina: 07800567105)
